"The statements telegraphed from here, thatihe army was moving on Dalton, Ga.,ate " "Colonel Burke has returned from the rebel lines with two officers and twenty-six privates whose exchange he effected under a flag of truce. • General Sherman's troops have destroyed the bridges on the Mobile and Ohio Railroad, thereby severing the connection between Polk's forces and Mobile. The rebel papers report a battle at Enter prise, Mina ~ w ith unknown results. The rebels have no hope of repelling the advande of Sherman. Information has been received that John ston, thinking we have weakened this point by reinforcing the army at Knoxville, is pre paring to attack Chattanooga. - From Missouri I Sr. Lours,•Feb. 18.: General Ewing has been superseded as commander of the District of the Border by Col. Ford, of the 2d Colorado Cavalry. • • The 6th Missouri infantry regiment has re enlisted. • Over 3,500 negroes have been recruited in this State during the past three months, The Government awards to day consist of the following: 100,000 bushels of oats, at 874 c. ; 100,000 do. corn at $1 09; 3,000 tons baled hay (timothy,) at $29 93®530 per ton.
