Coon Piroonaoisros.—The.court is still- au
gaged with the trial of F. P. Hill, charged
with defrauding the Reading Railroad Com
pany whilst being employed as conductor on a
passenger train. It seems that the company
had a force of detectives engaged, who traveled
on the train and paid their fares to the (=lgoe
. •
tor, and he is noiy charged by them,that4l63
money so collected has not baea paid over.
The detectives have nearly all been examined,
and we observe a barge number of New York
gentleman _who are .subpcoaed on the
. _
part of the defendant, yet to testify. We shall
gife a report of l ithe facts connected with the
case as soon as it is concluded, together with a
review of the testimony. We presame the:case
will go to the jury to-night. - • -
The Grand Jury have concluded their labors
and were discharged by the court. • The fol
lowing reppyt was:presented-to the court:

phin beg leave to submit the following report:
That they acted on all the bills, presented to,
hem, and that they have visited ...the Cedut
Prison, and find the inmates as conAortable;:as

pervision of G. W. Simmons, Usq. They heti
also examined the dilapidated condition of the
heaters, and would recommend that the Prison
Inepeotors 'make an improvement in the heat

for the comfortnf the inmates.
The Grand Jury would farther say that Brigg
street, in - the city.of Harrisburg, between Third
street and-Love lane -is not int,paaaable con

The grading - of :Brigg street: is not •by.:wny
means what it should be, and the grade of Third
street, between Brigg street and Love lane, is
defatiVe and should bo remedied.
The Jury belloyethat if the proper city ofll
Pere are apprbsed of these facts that they will
'take immediate steps to_ correct them. Thoy
therefore request District Attorney Herr to com
municate with the -city authorities, and act:
with those authorities in each a manner as will
facilitate carrying out of these vievrs of the
Jury.
