Imrsovrosscs OF A TRAITOIL—We were shown
this morning, at the jewelry establishment of
George It'Calia, a rare old gem, fashioned as a
watch seal, which has attached to it a story at
once illustrating the ipiprovidence and the vice
of an arch traitor. Thd seal is wrought from
a mineral only:found in the north of Scotland,
which is held in high repute by the Scottish
nobility; and - known anionglecabnineralOgiste
as Caramagora It is as pure is the diamond,
with Welightly smoky tinge, which rather-adds

iris, clays of political quamas, prided himself
greatly in the possession of_ this rare stone, and
wore it with tip display peculiar to the South

seal; Davis one night in his gambling revels;
suddenly found that'he had drained his feady

of the" cards, and lost ! The seal changed
hands until it has at length found its way to
the cases of our friend Ill'Oallaoirhere it is ex

carious, elic of vice and improvidence. It is
well worthy of a sight.
