Somebody has denominated Indian corn the great j
fattn lever. It is certainly a useful product, but
not quite so goo 1 for bread as wheat, to a Northern
palate.
It is commended by some that following corn with
oats or barley, and then with wheat, is not in anv
secse a rotation, as all theso belong to the same
family.
It is said the best strawberry plants come from
the third and fourth sett of runners, and that the
first sets of runners, end that the first and second
sets should be cut off.
