A* v.—Well, we have often thought that the fre-
I quent repititlon ot this little pronoun, of the first
j person—(We are not quite certain as to the number—
: We know that a good natured man, a good looking
I ; woman, and two very interesting children are often
involved In It) and nominative case; "we." We
were about to say, that the lrequent repetition of
the aforsaid pronoun ; (when the continuity oi the
sentence was broken up by that confounded long ]-
, renlhesis, which we hope everybody will get over
without breaking their grammatical, or rhetorical
shins ;) "we," must sound a little stale and harsh on
the tympanums (vugarly called, cars) of some of our
i readers. But for the life of us, (There, now comes
in the we, agalu,—in another shape,) we can't avoid
it, unless we call ourselves—(There's another modi
fication of that little contemptible we—gotistical
Word.) Snooks, or some other outlandish name,
(which no one else has, or if they have it, don't care
how quick some one else takes it,) But then, how
would it sound (when the aferesaid good-looking
woman, and the two Interesting childrn, heretofore
mentioned, went along the streets) to have all the
people say ; " there goes the unfortunate Mrs.

We started out to say tomething ; and we are go
ing to say it, if it takes all winter and part oi next
summer—We—We—We—We wish some of our sub
scribers, who are several years behind on the their
subscriptions, would "pony up" between this and
the holidays, so that Mrs. S. could have the where

cian bender!
