The following is a list of articles ,lh box No. 24,
prepared, packed and sent to'the Sanitary Commis
sion by the young girls of our Aid Society:
5 pillows,- 5 rolis.cotton cloths, 1 roll linen cloths,
17 handkerchiefs, 7 pillow cases, 1 pair slippers, 1
quart raspberries, 1 quart currants, 2 bags hops, 2
pair flannel drawers, 3 pair woolen socks, 6 arm
slings, 12 rolls bandages, 8 pin cushions, 1 bottle
rhubarb wine, 1 bottle currant wine, 1 jug black
berry cordial, 6, papers cornstarch, 2 bed quilts, 1
bundle magazines.
Since the organisation of the Society, these girls
have taken an active part in every thing undertaken
.by the older ones. More than half of the qnllts sent
by us to the Commission have been pieced and many
of them quilted by tbein.
In tbe blackberry trip of last week these girls were
“ found ready and not wanting,” regardless of soiled
hands and sun burnt faces, picked lots of berries for
cordial for-the sick soldiers, and could the soldiers
themselves know of all they have done, wouldn't
there rise many a “~God bless the girls' - ’ "from their
grateful hearts.
Girls, come to the Society regularly. We havo
something more for. you to do; come one, como all,
and-remember the .new. Album quilt that is to be
pieced. *
The boxnf cordial Is to be sent during the week,
and here let us thank those who prepared it, also Mr.
Cbas. Sears-for the .many kindnesses received at his
hands during the past few months.

Ladies, take Particular Notice.
the heat, velpah female pni.
[WaERASXXD FRENCH.]
These piles, •so celebrated many
years ago in Paris for the relief of female
irregularities, and afterward so notorious for
their criminal employment in the practice, of
abortion, are now offered for sale fob the first
time in America. They have been kept in
comparative obscurity from the fact that the
originator, Dr. Yelpau, is a Paris
of great wealth and strict conscientious prin
ciples, and has withheld them from general
use, lest they should be employed for unlawful
purposes. In overcoming Female Obstructions,
Falling of the 'Womb, Whites, Green Sick
ness, Suppression, Retention, or Immoderate
Flow of the Monthly Discharges, they seem
to he truly omnipotent, bursting open the
fiood-gates from whatever cause may have
stopped them; but they are offered to the pub
lic only for legitimate uses, and all agents are
forbidden to sell them when it is understood
thit the object is unlawful. Married ladies
should never take them when there is any
reason to believe themselves pregnant, for
they will be sure to produce a miscarriage.
.These pills are entirely safe under all cir
cumstances, being composed entirely of sub
stances from the .vegetable kingdom.
Each box has tho coat of arms for. the City
of Paris stamped on the box, with the words
•• Trade Mark” in French, to counterfeit which •
is a misdemeanor, and all persons will be dealt
with according to law.
Full directions accompany every box.
Ladies can obtain a box sealed from the eyes
of the curious, by inclosing One-Dollar and six
post-office stamps to any respectable drug
gists, or to O. G. STAPLES, General Agent

Hoofiand’s German Bitters, favorably for a number of years.
I have used them in my own family, and have been so
pleased with their effect* that I was induced to recommend
them to many others, and know that they have operated (n
a strikingly beneficial manner. I taka great pleasure in

recommendation will be sustained. Ido this more cheer

I do this tho more readily in regard to Hooflauds Gorman

by evident relief, and restoration to a degree ol bodily and
mental vigor which I had not felt for six months before, and
had almost despaired of regaining. I therefore thank God
and my friend for directing me to the use of them.
