Though her death was so unlocked for by others,
it was not wholly so by her. Ho who had ordained
to call her home, had, as wo humbly trust, given her

In Charleston, on the 27th ult., Mrs. SURVIAH
POTTER, wife of Pelcg Potter, aged 6S years.
. Sifter Potter had been for nearly 50 years a faith
ful member of the Baptist Church, and by the grace
of God, she adorned her Christian profession moat
nobly. The Bible was her source of moral light, and
Christ her dependence. She was emphatically n
large-hearted, liberal-minded Christian. In the death
of this exemplary and highly esteemed sister, a wide
breach has been made -in the family circle, in the
church and in the community. But while their loss
is deeply mourned, there is this great consoling
thought, that, 44 Precious in tho sight of the Lord is
the death of his saints." 1 P, Reynolds.

This is the life of agony endured by the sufferer
from Fever and Ague, Ho wanders like an uncertain
shadow, never knowing what moment ho may be
prostrated, and therefore disinclined to give any se

thousands in town and country. It is no exaggera
tion to say that Fever and Ague kills more people than
.any twenty'other diseases in America. For a snro

great pleasure in recommending Hostetler's Stomach
