Bargees and Town Council of the Borough of Knox
ville, and it is l beaeby enacted.- by authority of the
same: That any pers6o permitting their Horses, Car
tie, Sheep, or Swine> to run at large in said Borough
ns stated in the aforesaid ordinance shall be liable to
the fine therein fixed, whether the some shall be ta
ken up and etnpounded or not, and it shall be the duty
of the Burgess whenever by sight or upon Informa
tion furnished, be becoWes 'Oware. of the violation of
the said ordinance, if the animal is nof at the time
empounded, to proceed to collect for the use of the
