A very pleasant pic-nic was held in Seeley's grove
on the 12th, lur the benefit of the juvenile members of
the Society.
Mr. Vine Baldwin will please accept the thanks of
the Society, for a bushel of fine eating apples, presen
ted to the ladies.
Donations of all kinds arc solicited. Let those who
have plenty of apples, when drying them, reserve a
portion for the soldiers. We thonld be particularly
grateful for woolen yarn and socks.
There will be a special meeting of the Society, on
Thursday next, for the purpose ol finishing work and
packing a box. Next regular meeting, on Saturday,
