G. A. Grow arrived in town oa Monday.* He was visited at Taylor’s Hotel by his frienis and acquaintances, and in the evening was mcattded by the Wellsboro Brass Band. Ho ac xnowledged the compliment in a brief speech. On Tuesday afternoon he addressed the Great Ratification Hass Meeting, and yesterday left on bis way to his duties at Washington, by way of Troy, where he was afirertlsed to speak last night. Hon. Andrew G. Ccrtix, the Republican candi date for Governor, arrived here on Tuesday noon.- -■SP** The Concert of the Wellsboro Band, on Mon day night, was exceedingly successful. Them was t large and appreciative audience, the Court House being well filled. Wo have frequently spoken in the Highest praise of our Band. Its members have never missed an opportunity to secure the services, from time to time, of the best teachers within their reach, at the outlay of a good deal of money and time on their part It is not surprising, therefore, to.hear strangers'from abroad say, as we beard several say on Monday night, that our Band was a leeila ahead of any thing they had ever heard. The programme on Monday night was varied, and interesting. Quadrilles, Marches, Waltzes, Quicksteps, and selections from the most popular Operas vere giv «n in fine style by the Brass Band, and the intervals •ere filled up by Prof. Jewett, (theirpresent teacher) Those performance on the violincello showed' remark skill, and Wotmoro's String Band. “ Money Musk,’’by the latter, was received wildest applause and enthusiastically encored- The introduc. tioa of “Yankee Doodle” into this favorite dancing lane, by Mr. Job Wetmore, (who played it on the E 6 Comet as a bass) was probably the cause of much of the enthusiasm. A brilliant selection from lb* Opera of Buoretia Borgia by the Band was chcored, and the concert, as 1 Thole, gave /he utmost satisfaction to Everybody, Would like to speak of the pieces in detail but *P«c prevents: Itellsboro may Well be proud of her Brass Rand. In order to accomplish this desired object the true course to pursue is certainly tlat which will produce a natural state of things at the least hazard of vital strength and hfe; for this end Dr, Hosteller has introduced to this country a prep aration bearing bis name, which at this day Is not a new medicine, bnt one that hos been tried for years, giving satis faction to all who have used it. The Bitters operate power fttfTy upyn the stomach, bowels and liver, restoring them to a healthy aud vigorous action, apd tbps by the simple pro cess of strengthening nature, enable the system to triumph over disease. For the cure of Dyspepsia Indigestion, Nausea, Flatulency, Lose of Appetite} or any Billions Complaints, arising from a morbid inactlonof the Sumach or Bowels, prodncingCramps, Dysentery, Colic, Cholera Morbus, Ac., these Bitters have not an equal. Diarrlmea. Dysentery or Flux, so generally contracted .by new settlers, and caused principally by tbe cange of water and diet, will bo sbeedily regubUed by a brief use of this preperation, Dyspepsia, a disease which is probably more prevalent when taken in ail its various forms, than any other, tbe cause of which may always bo attributed to derange ments of the digestive organs, can be cijred without fail by using HOSTEXTEH’S STOMACH BITTERS,as per directions gn the bottle. For thjs disease every physician will recom mend Bitters of some kind, then why not use an article to be infallible? Every country have their Bitters as a prevent ative of disease and strengthening of the system In general, and among them all there is not to be found a healthier peo ple than the Germans, from whom tills preparation emana ted, based upon scientific experiments which have tended to advance the destiny of this great preparation in the medical scale of science. Ffver am> AopE.—This trying and provoking disease, which fastces its relentless grasp oq the body of man, reducing him to a mere shadow in a short space of time, and rendering him physically and mentally useless, can be defeated and driven from the body by the uso of lIOSTETTER’S RE NOWNED BITTERS. Further, any of the above stated dia led diseases cannot be contracted when exposed to any ordi nary conditions producing them, if the Bitters are used as per directions. And or it neither creates nausea, nor offends the palatt, and rendering unnecessary any change of died or Interruption to usual pursuits, but promotes sound sleep and healthy digestion, the complaint is thus removed as speedily as is consistent with the production of a thorough and per manent cure. LEIV’IS SMITH. I. D. RICHARDS. For Pkrsoxe in Advanced Years who are suffering from an enfeebled constitution and infirm body, these Bitters are in valuable as a restorative of strength and vigor, and needs only to be tried to be appreciated- And to a mother wbiie nvrslng. these Bitters aro indispensable, especially where the mother's nourishment is inadequate to the demands of the child, consequently her strength *muat yield, and hero it is where a good tonic, such as Hostetler’s Stomach Bitters, is needed to impart temporary strength and vigor to the sys tem. Ladies should by all means try this remedy for all ca ses of debility, and before so doing, ask your physician who, if he io acquainted with the virtue of tbe Bitters, wilt recom mend their use in all cases of weakness. CAUTION- We caution the public against lining any of the many imitations or counterfeits, but ask for llostet ier’s Celebrated Stomach Bitters, and see that: each bottle has the words ‘‘Dr. J. Hostetter's Stomach Bitters” blown ou the side of the bottle, and stamped on the mrtallic cop covering the cork, and observe that our autograph signature is on the label. j®* Prepared and sold by lIOTETTER A SMITH, Pitts burgh, Pa., and sold by alt Druggists, Grocers and dealers generally throughout the United Canada, South Amer ica and Germany.
