AVER’S SARSAPARILLA.
A compound remedy, in which we have labored to produce
the most effectual alterative tliat'cao bo made. It is aeon*
centruted extract of L*ara Sarsaparilla, so combined with
other substances of still greater alterative power ns to affoid,
an affective antidote for tbc diseases Saisapadila is reputed
to curcn It is believed that such a remedy is wanted by
those who suffer from Simmons complaints.and that one
which will accomplish their cure must prove of immense
bcrvkc to this largo c-tass of our afflicted fellow-citizens,-
llow completely this compound will do it has been proven
by experiment oo many of the wore; coses to bo found of the
following compl4 : Dtsc—
Sciofula md Scrofulous Complaints, Eruptions andFinp
tivc Diseases. Ulcere. Pimples, Blotches, Tumors, Salt Rheum
Scald Head, Syphilis and SypbdU'C Affections, Mercurial
Disease, Drop«y, Neuralgia or Tie Douloureux, Debility,
Dyspepsia ami Indigestion, Erysipelas,Rose or SI. Anthony’s
Fire, and indeed the whole class of complaihts arising fiom
imparity ot the blood.
This compouml wMI be found a great promoter of health,
when taken in the spring, to expel the foul humors which
fester in the blood at that season of the year. By the timely
expulsion of them many rankliugdisorders arc nipped io the
bud. Multitudes can, by the aid oftbis remedy, spare them*
selves from the endurance of fool eruptions and ulcerous
sores, through which the system will stive to rid itself of
corruptions, if not assisted to do this through the natural
channels of the body by an alterative medicine. C’eanso
out the vitiated blood whenever yon find its impmitieaburst
ing through the skin in pimples, eruptions, or sores; cleanse
1« when yon find it is obstiacted and sluggish in the veins;
deanse it whenever it is foul, and your feelings wUI tell yon
when. Even where no particular disorder is felt, people en
joy better health,-and live longer, for cleansing the blood.—
Keep tht* blood healthy, and all is well; but with this pabu
lum of life disordered, there can ho no lasting health. Soon
er or later something must go wrong, aud the groat machi
nery of life is disoidercd oi overthrew*!.
Sarsaparilla has, and deserves much. the reputation, of ac
complishing these ends. But the world has been egreg'ou.-dy
deceived hv preparations of it. partly because the drug alone
has not all the mi tue that is claimed for it, but more be
cause many preparations, pretending to be concentrated ex
tracts of it, contain but little of the virtue of Sarsaparilla,
or any thing el'-e.
'—Bible.
During late years the public have been misled by largo
bottles, pretending to give a quart of Extract of Sarsaparilla
for one dollar. Most of tbe-o have been frauds upon the
sick, for they not only contain little if any Sarsaparilla, but
often no curative properties whatever. Ueace, bitter aud
painful disappointment has followed the use of tbc various
extn , c{t> of SarMi«arilla which flood the market, until the
name itself is justly despised, and .has become synonymous
with imposition and cheat. Still we call this compound Sar
saparilla, and intend to supply such a remedy us shall rescue
the name Irom the loud of obloquy which rests upon it. And
wo think wc have ground for believing it has vntucs wh»cli
are irresistible by the ordinary run ol thu diseases it Is in
tended to cure. In order to secure (heir complete eradica
tion from (be system, the remedy should bo judiciously ta
ken according to directions on the bottle.

PATENT CHAMPION SAFE.
LATE FIRE AT DUBUQUE, lOWA.
DpuuqcE, Jan. 7,1359.
Gents : X am requested by Mr. T. A. C. Cochrane, of
this place, to say to-you that on the morning of the
Ith inst., about 3 o’clock, his store took fire, and the
entire stock of goods was destroyed. The heal became
so suddenly intense that none of the goods could pos
sibly be saved; but fortunately his books and papers
which were in one of your Champion Safes were all
preserved perfectly. And well they may bo called
Champion, for during the whole conflagration there
was one incessant pouring of flame directly upon the
Safe which contained them. And still upon opening
it, the inside was found to bo scarcely warm, while
the outside was most severely scorched. Tours truly,
. N. J. McCLURE.
