ORDINANCE NO. 23.
WHEREAS, by an act of the Common
wealth of l'ennsylvtuda passed the
15th day of April, A. D. 1852, extending the
provisions of the act regulating boroughs
Bassed the3d day .of April, A . 1).1851 to the
orough of Waynesboro'; therefore be it
ordained by the Town Council of the Bo
rough of Waynesboro', and it is hereby -..:or
.dained by the authority of the same, that
from and after the first day of September
next ensuing„ the owner or owners of lot or
lots. on both sides of South Street, irom
Leitersburg Street to Broad Street, shall
set. p, or cause to be set up, good and suf
ficient curblistone, to extend where set up
eight inches above the surithce of the said
street, also grade their pavements with the
. . reet and .ave the same with bri
ca- stone s abs, to the breadth .of six feet
from the range of the curb inward, within
sixtrdays niter the first day of September
next. And it is hereby enacted by the au
thority of the. same, that any lot on said
street remaining uneurbed, ungraded, or
unpaved, at the expiration of said time, the
corporate officers shall cause the same to be
done, on failure of the owner or owners
thereof;within - the time prescribed by the
Lbove regulations, and to collect the cost of
labor and materials, with twenty per cent.
