man) are 'now issued at San Fran
cisco.

ITALY.—The resignation of Ming
beta, the Minister of the Interiori
had been accepted. Barron Ricasol,
had been nominated to the vacaney,
with the charge, ad-interim, of foreign
affairs. Victor Emanuel had inform
ally received M. Benedict, the new
French Minister.
Additional successes were reported
over the Neapolitan brigands.
News had reached Tnrin of, the
disembarkation of some re-actioiists
near San Elpidies, ilthe province of
Accoli. A troop of National Guards
went in pursuit.
It was also reported that some
collisions had occurred between the
Piedmontese troops and the Papal
gendarmes.
It was reported that Austria and
Spain had addressed a collective note,
expres.4ing their intention, in the
event of the French troops being
withdrawn from Rome, to each place
some regiments at the disposal of the
Pave government.
Drowned.
On Sunday last, six Government
teamsters and their teams, compris
ing six.hopates each, were drowqed on
Tygarea Valley river, above Grafton,

Price, belonging to the Union army,
whose headquarters are now in Jef
ferson City, and the other is Gen.
Sterling Price, of the rebel forces,
who at last accounts was at Lex-

and Stone announce that everything
in front of their columns has been
quiet, the enemy not appearing on
the opposite side. It is known that
a large rebel force, as previously re
ported, is at Leesburg, and that Gen.
Johnson commands.

Davis was able to be in his office yes
terday, for the first time since his ill
ness.

by a vote of 20 to 5.

The Waynesburg Steam Grist Mill, having been
stopped a month fur repairs, is now in operation. We
are also happy in being able to ansiounce that we have
made arrangements with Mr. Rogers, Esq., of Rogers
ville, to assist in grinding. Mr. Rogers is well known
to be uric of the best millers in in the. County, and he
will hereafter superintend the grinding.

We expect to have the Canting Machine in opera
tion in two or three weeks, having failed to get ready
as before announced, owing to a disappointment in
