Mrs. Ida Hirsch, forty-two, at Monaca, Pa., drowned her Infant child, five months, In a bathtub then went to the cellar of her home and hung herself. GHOST WINS JAIL SENTENCE Frightens Women in Vacant Lot and Arrest Follows. Joseph Johnson, aped thirty-five. Imused himself by playing ghost in Pittsburg. Going into a vacant lot in Howard street he removed his coat and pulling his outsido shirt over his head frightened .women who were passing aloog the street. The women reported the matter to the police and a search was made for the alleged ghost, which resulted in the finding of Johnson. At a hearing st the Allegheny police station John son was sentenced to pay a fine of $10 or to be confined in the county Jail for twenty days. Little Girl Saved. A thrilling escape from death oc curred at Tyrone, Pa when Emma Snyder, aged four, stepped in front of a locomotive hauling twenty cars. She was knocked down by the engine, which with two tars passed over her body before the train could be stopped. She was picked up in a dazed condition. Fall From Third Floor Kills Man. James Dulzell, aged twenty-seven, fell from the third floor of the Krick building in Pittsburg and was Instant ly killed. His neck was broken. Woman Gored by Pet Cow.
