PERFECTION
of Style and Fit in
New Suits.
When you come to decide upon a tailor-made suit it is
pleasurable to know that your selection is faultless in style and
fit. This gratifying feeling is assured by the beautiful new
models shown now for the first time. All these suits were de
signed and tailored by the best talent available. They're artis
tic productions and are positively right in every detail. Ask
to see the "Madam Butterfly" and the "Merry Widow" models
both are very catchy.
All Wool Ingrain Carpets at 50c.
Every home owner who buys one of these All Wool E$tra
Super Ingrains at 50 cents, may feel perfectly safe about the
quality. If you want a carpet that will wear long and well
yo'i may buy any of these with confidence.
You may also make a good cash saving, lor similar all
wool grades are sold lor full one-third more money. In fact
hall cotton kinds are sold elsewhere tor more than we are fur
nishing these splendid all wools. We're closing out our In
grain lines, you know; going to close them out entirely. That's
just the reason we're making these very low prices.
New Dress Goods Beginning to
Arrive.
Several lots received others are on the way. By the last
of this week, or the first of next, we'll be in shape to satisfy
your every dress goods want. The fabrics ot the latest type
hsivp a stripe that you have to look at the second time to be
sure that it is there shadow stripes the designer calls them.
Browns and blues give the
shadow stnpings. Other colors worked on the brown and blue
grounds sometimes, as a black with a navy, a line of red with
the dark blue or blue with brown.

WASHINGTON CITY-TIIE MAGNET OF
THE PEOPLE.
The eyes of eighty million American people are now
on Washington, the Capital of the Nation.
The wheels of the National Government are now in
full motion. Congress is in session and the busy whirl
of the legislative mill is intensely interesting. Many
hours may be spent in the Senate or House gallery watch
ing the legislators at work.
The Capital itself, aside from its importance as the
' lioine of Congress" and of the United States Supreme
Court, is an imposing building. Seven hundred and fifty-one
feet long by three hundred and fifty feet wide,
its massive proportions are visible from almost every sec
tion of Washington. The great dome in the center sur
mounted by the statue of Freedom, towering three hun
dred feet in the air, looks out over superbly-kept gardens
and hundreds of handsome buildings in which are hous
ed the many departments of the Government.
The other workshops of the Nation are also well
worthy of a visit. The White House, the home and of
fice of the Piesident; the State, War and Navy Building,
with its museums and models; the Treasury Building,
with its huge vaults; the Bureau ot Engravig and
Printing where the postage stamps are made and bank
notes are printed; the Government Printing ( flice, the
Patent ' )liice, and the Congressional Library; the Na
tional Museum, the Smithsonian Institute, the great
Monument, the new Union Station are all attractive
features of the Capital City.
Fine hotels, magnificent private residences, erected by
those who are making Washington their home, not only
during the official season but the whole year round;
ham Isonie public buildings, ornamented circles and superb
ptatues make Washington one of the most beautiful
cities in the country, and well worthy of comparison
with the other capitals of the world.
The service of the Pennsylvania Railroad to Wash
ington serves a wide territory. Its trains aloida direct
means of reaching the National Capital, and tickets at
reasonable rates are on eale at all tktofc crtiiueB.
