murder in the second degree only. Major
was unjustly hanged. It ia difficult to
understand how an intelligent jury could
have rendered such a verdict undrr the

travesty on justice a shame, a reproach
and a disgrace to tho county and tho com
monwealth, an outrageous finding in
every particular."
