1 3 Tho jury list was unavoidably crowd
ed out of last week's issue of tho Ri:pt;n

on ths same account this week, but this
is the last timo it will have to run and wo
will have ploidy of spaeo next week to
tell our readers nil about tho big Repub

Kinley. Tho roason of tho Rut'UM.K'AN
being two days lato last week was tho
failuro of tho official ballot.to arrive from
Ilarrisburg. The law requires tho pub

days previous to tho oleetion, consequen
tly wo wore compelled to wait until tho
official list of officers to bo elected ar
rived. As winter approaches wo aro again
bothered by a "gorgeous influx" of
tramps. It is evident that tho borough
authorities hnvo gono away on a visit.
Wo bcliove thero is a law in existeuco in
this placo which requires tramps to pay
for their lodging by breaking stone. But
if such a law is yet extant it seems to
have bech forgotten, as tho hobos are
given a nieo, warm placo to sleep and in
tho morning aro bidden good bye, and,
otto would naturally think, requested to
call again. Then tho festivo hobo roams
tho town at will and "panhandles his
chuck." That may bo all right j we've
"no kick coming" on that. But when
theso knights of tho road bncomo so bold

might be woll Just merely to suggest to
