Tbe members of the Republican County Committee of Forest county are hereby notifiod that a meeting of said committee will be held at tbe office of Sheriff Sawyer, on Tuesday evening, Sept. 16, court week, at 7:30, at which all are requested to be present, as mattors of importance bearing on tbe pending campaign will be attend ed to. J. C. Scowden, Chairman. Tioncsta, Sept. 1, 1890. Tnis is the period cf the year when the individual who is ordinarily a ham becomes "a prominent citizen" in the interviews showing him to be opposed to this or that candidate. If he wants to do any business with the same papers after the campaign ho will have to pay so much per line for it and pay it in advance. Ulinard. It seems that Brother Wharton Barker was not invited to tota his copyrighted Independent Movement up to Altoona to the secret reunion of the older little Independent Move mcnts from various parts of the State. If this omission was meant ss a delib erate slight, it may be that Brother Barker will bolt the bolters sud fl x k all by himself. The Republicans hsve excellent ground) f r asking tbo pooplo of the country to continue them in control of the llonso of Representatives. See the important measures which the House bos passed at this Brssiou : The tariff bill, the silver bill, the Federal election bill, the National bankruptcy bill, tho bill relieving the Supreme Court, the bills admitting four new states, tbe original package bill, tbe agricultural relief bill, the bill against adulterated food, the anti-trust bill, the public lauds bill, and bundreds of minor bills. As soon as the republi cans obtained control of the House the prosperity of tbe country began to increase, and so it will continue to do as long as they retain that control. These are facts that should not be for-gotton. STOP! Clothing - Clothing!
