Oo next Tuesday our citizens will .decide by ballot who shall be Govern or; who shall be State officers of a great Commonwealth. They will then decide whether our state government is to be administered in accordance with what we know to be the true pol icy, or shall continue to be adminis tered by a political party which has ehown itself wholly incompetent to ad minister the affairs of this state to the interest and welfare of her people. Shall we vindicate the wrong done four years ago, and place our standard bearer, the veteran General James A. Beaver, at the helm? Answer this question by such a majority in Forest County fur the man with the crutch as will rattle the "dry" bones of even Chas. S. Wolfe. Answer it by show ing that, although we are a small .county, we still have a large majority in favor of honest government, pro tection to the laboring classes, and re buke to the party that would disgrace our institutions by Free Trade, bogus reform, and pure, unadulterated bour bon deception. For Congress we have James T. Maffett Esq., of Clarion; a man of intelligence, an eminent lawyer, a man whose personal character cannot be impeached, a siau whose political reo ord is clean. Our candidate for Con gress is a square shouldered, manly man; his shoulders have never been rounded by carrying water on both. Vote for MatTett ; bend your energies on election day for the man who will faithfully guard our interests In the Legislative Halls of the Nation. Work for a man who is all a Con gressman should be; against the Dr.-what-is-it, whom even the democratic delegates from his own county refused to recognize in convention, and from whom the democratic delegates of Forest County withdrew in contempt Work to the end that when the eve ning of Nov. 2d shall come the office hunter, the great wbat-is-it, who was nominated by three counties and dis dained by his own and Forest County, will be snowed under a majority that his political standing so well deserves. For Seuator vote for II. L. Young, a man whom we can trust, an honora ble man, a man whose nomination was not secured by solid cash. We present for the consideration of the voters of Forest County a ticket to which we as Republicans can point with pride. We present to them men who will fill the offices they seek with honor to themselves and credit to our couuty. Vote for Charles A. Randall, a man in whom you all have greatest confi dence, a man who has beeu prominent in our County, a man of sound sense, of ability, a man who will in his offi cial duties have the interest of our citizens at heart. Vote for Raudall, work for him at the polls. Remember, we dont want a Free Trade, dyed iu-tbe-wool, horizontal tariff reduction U. 6. Senator sent from Pennsylvania next winter, to help the Johnny Bull J. E. WENK, schemes through our Halls of Con gress. Solomon Fitzgerald, a veteran, who carries remembrances of his devotion to his country in her day of peril, is the man for County Treasurer. He will perform the duties of the office in a manner that will make us feel proud that we elected him. He is a gentle man, obliging, worthy, and he must be elected. Vote for Whittekin. He is true blue, can ruu a line with any roan in the States, and will fill the office of County Surveyor with dignity, cheer fulness, and business skill combined on the most approved methods. For Corouer, Dr. Morrow. Don't forget the Doctor; though last on the ticket be is not least. Work for him ; see that he gets a large majority. Put him in the chair with such force of numbers that young Doc. Siggios will be shaken clear off the platform. The best our opponents have ou band will be urged against us until the polls close next Tuesday evening. Their oiliest talkers, closest traders, and best manipulators will be on hand with their finest stock of wares. Keep your eye on the chap who .has a "trade" to offer. Don't let the rooster who has a "confidential" to show you conceroing any of our candidates get away till you bare nailed his scheme. Do your whole duty as citizens; do your duty as Republicans, and Forest County will have a good round ma jority to her credit, and our ticket will be elected without the loss of a man. Curtis M. Shawxey, Chairman. Vote for General Beaver, the gal lant one-legged soldier, the brilliant orator and statesman, the true Chris tian gentleman. His companions on the State ticket are made of the same metal. Vote it straight. Republicans let nothing keep you from the polls next Tuesday. Get there early and put in some'good solid work, for the whole ticket. All over the Stater he Republicans are worked up to a fever heat and our county roust show np with any of them. Bend every energy toward getting out every vote. There never was a ticket placed befo re you that was more deserving of your heartiest support, from the gal lant Beaver down. James G. Blaine, the great favorite of Pennsylvania Republicans, has been in the State and Etirred it up from center to cir cumference. He says the ticket ought to be elected by an overwhelming ma jority that it cannot be too large. Again we earnestly admonish you to be on hand early and work hard. Vote for Charles A. Randall for Assembly, the careful guardian of the interests of bis constituents. A ready debater, sound reasoner, faithful to every interest of the county, he will make a champion in the Halls of our State Legislature, of whom we will all be proud. He is pre-eminently the man for the place, aud the people will make no mistake in electing him. Was Dr. St. Clair n rib inn ao an "Anti-mopolis?" and the "Friend of T I L L . j-iuut wueu no voiea against the Free Pipe Line bill in the State Sen ate, the passage of which measure then would doubtless have saved Pennsyl vania aud the nation from the im measurable disgrace of the Standard Oil Company T The Standard was then in the lobby of the Senate at Harrisburg, (as it has been since, when its interests were threat ened.) The newspaper organs which are heralding hiai as the special champion of labor and anti monopoly cannot deny these facts. The Kittanniog Globe should give the fact special consideration, since the defeat of the measure was one of very grave importance to the laborers and producers of Armstrong as well as to Clarion and the other counties of the District where Dr. Rt. Clair is hunting votes. Clarion Hep.-Gazette. Vote for Solomon Fitzgerald for County Treasurer, the crippled and maimed aoldier, who gave the best days of his life to the cause of his country. He deserves the support of every man who believes in giving a helping hand to an industrious, honest, capable man, who, through his disa bilities, has up-hill work in making a living. Vote for James T. Maffett for Con gress, the clean handed, upright man fioia Clarion. A man who has never been mixed up in the least in any po litical or other trickery; a man who is loved and most highly respected by all his neighbors, irrespective of politics. Vote for IE. L. Young of Straltan ville, Clarion county, for State Sena tor, a roan of honor and ability, in whom the people of his neighborhood have the utmost confidence. Give General Beaver the same hearty support in peace that he gave you in war. Vote for II. 0. Whittekin for County Surveyor. He has filled the office one term with satisfaction and will do so again, being very attentive to business. Let us see that every Republican vote in the connty is polled next Tuesday. All help get out the vote. Vote for Dr. Morrow for Coroner, a skillful physician and upright gen tleman, aod possesses the requisite le gal knowledge to administer the office correctlv. R. M.
