We understand that Judge Irwin

relation to the chemical roof paint re

unfortunately for the Judge the u. 8,

that his prospects for a fortune out of
it is knocked into a cocked hat. The

The fair nt Warren last week,
notwithstanding the unfavorable
weather at the start, was one of the
best held in this section of the State,
so pronounced by good judges. Their
entries numbered over 2000, and the
display was about as fine as is gener
ally seen at a county fair, especially
their live stock. There was some
hing to attract and interest all tastes,
and truly the managers and people of
V arren can well be proud of their
second fair. The attendance on Thurs
day is variously estimated at from
8,000 to 10,000 people.
Amos F. Ledebur of Starr, For
est county, Pa has secured the agen
cy for the American Fruit Evaporat
or, which is a new invention to this
section, and should occupy a place in
the orchard of every farmer.. It is so
arranged that it can be set up any
where and can be manipulated by a
bud. It dries apples and retains all
the natural flavor and color, and
there is no use of allowing a particle
of fruit to go to waste if you have one
of them on your place. They are
sold at a price within reach of any
farmer. Apply to Mr. Ledebur for
circulars and any information.

there furnishes us with the following
account of the reunion at Erie last
week :
On the morning of tho 10th the 83d
met at Olds Hall. Resolutions on
deaths of Chaplain O. B. Clark and

of the 83d gave a grand banquet to
that regiment at 12 at Olds Hall

chosen by the selection of A. B. Ed-
son of Meadville, President; Vice
Presidents, Capt. D. S. Knox of Tio
nesta, and Col. P. B. Carpenter of
Conneautville; Secretary, M. B. Gof
ford of Erie.
The day was favorable, and the pro-
cessiou was grand ; it started at 2
o clock and marched through the
principal streets. It is estimated
there were over 1'OUO in line. A trip
iu boats was taken to the head of the
peninsula, where a banquet aud gen
eral reunion was had. It was a day
long to be remembered both by the
veterans and citizens who witnessed it,
and was iu every sense of the word
success.

D. Irwin, D. S. Knox, Wm. Albaugh,

Hon. John A. Proper and Hon. J. G.
Dale were there with the boya all the
time, aud seemed to enjoy the occa

there with her father, and Forest
county seemed to be about as well
represented as any of the places as
distant from Erie, in proportion to
the population. Taken altogether the
holiday will long be remembered as it
was so well celebrated.
