The Mabie house, which was
sold by the borough authorities be
cause it stood in the way of the new
street soon to be opened, is being re
moved to the lot immediately south of
the Uuiversalift church. Mr. J. R.
Chadwick, who understands such
work to perfection, u overseeing the
job.

Mr. J. lyler Watts, wifa and
two boys, of Jamaica, L. I., were the
guests of Mr. J. A. Dwsoa's family,
Stewarts Run, duriug last week. Mr
W. gives a glowing account of the
progress of tlu Republican campaign
in bis section, and says that Blaine
has, practically, do opposition in his
town which is usually carried by the
Democrats.
During the storm of last Sunday
evening a portion of the brick work of
thetjortheast corner of the new school
building which had not been sufficent
y protected blew down. The damage
waa light and easily repaired. With
nothing interfering to impede the pro
grass the brick walla will doubtless be
completed this week. It is beginning
to look very imposing.
