Da use, near Mar'enville, this county, was burned on Wednesday last. We are without particulars, but understand some of the furniture was saved. The house was occupied by Mr. Baker. It will be. a severe loss to Mrs. Danse, as well at a great disappointment, as fcbe intended to make it a permanent home hereafter, E. L. But he has promised to move the house a little, just for the accommodation of a few fault fiuding chap9 who aro con tinually reminding him of it. A precious gem is "Sellers Cough Sprup" has never bcea koown to fail in curing cold, coughs, and hooping cough. Price 25c. For sale by Bovard. 4-1't. Thomas A Ravago exhibited their "Eleclropticon'', if anybody knows what that is at the Pu-sbytcrian Church on Monday evening to a fair house. The show was pretty good, rather ahead of th aversge and much better than the old-fashioned Magic Lantern concerns. After the expenses of the ehowman were paid they divided up equally with the Sunday School, which is their way of doing business. What the receipts of the evening were we did not learn. Mr. Eli Holeman has left with us three papers which are real curiowities. One is called the National Journal, and was published in Washington, D. C, June 23, 1828, by Peter Force. It coutains the proceedings of Congress of that early date, which are very different from those we now rend in tbe papers. The next is The Western sEgis and Public Advertiser, dated June 24, 1&2, and published in Georgetown, Brown county, Ohio. It is also a curiosity. The third i pub' lished at Warren, Pa., by Parker C. Purviancc, March 18, 1830. and called the Warren Gazette. This was in the days of Anti Masonery, and the paper is chuck full of it. It contains many curious advertisements, among which are the names of Abram Hazeliine, L. Wetmore and T. Stiuthers. These are still familiar to the citizens of that ancient burg. The news contained in this paper is of a general character. and there are but one or two local items in it. Here is one t "Singular Anomaly. An Jwe be longing to Mr. Martin, of this oorough, a tew days since gave birth to a lamb, with two heads, two tails Jour ears, and six legs. It was born alive, but sur vived but a short time. We under stand it is now in the hands of a per son who will stuff aud preserve it." The papers are quite well preserved, and are valuable relics. Jury List For Mjy.Term 1880. GRAND JUEOKS. .
