Bland's Silver Bill passed the Sen ate on Saturday last by a vote of 48 to 21, and only wants the President's sig nature to become a law. Senators Cameron and Wallace of .Pennsylva nia votod for the bill The following is the full text of the bill as passed : Be it1 enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assem bled, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That there hall be coined, at the several mints of the United States, silver dollars of the weight of 412 grains troy, of standard ilver, as provided in the act of Janu ary 18, 1S37, on which shall be the device and superscription provided by said act, which coins, together with all silver dollars heretofore coined by the United States of like weight and fine tiers, shall be a legal tender at their .nominal value for all debts and dues, public -and private, except where oth erwise expressed and stipulated in the contract, and the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to purchase from time to time, silver bul lion at the market price thereof, not less than two million dollars' worth per month, nor more than four mil lion dollars' worth per month, and cause the same to be coined monthly, as fast as so purchased, into such dol lars, and a sum sufficient to carry out the foregoing provision of this act is hereby appropriated out of any money in the Treasury not otherwiso appro . priated. And any gain or seigniorage arising from this coinago shall be ac counted for and paid into the Treasury as provided under existing laws rela tive to the subsiding coinage ; Provid ed, that the amount of money at any one time iavested in such silver bul lion, exclusive of such resulting coin, tball not exceed five million dollars ; and provided further, that nothing in this act shall be construed to author ize the payment in silver of certificates of deposit issued under the provision of section 254 of the revised statutes. Section 2. All acts and parU of acts inconsistent with the provisions of this act are hereby repealed. Section 3. That immediately after the passage of this act, the President shall invite the Governments of the countries composing the Latin Union, bo called, and of such other European nations as he may deem advisable, to join the United States in conference to adopt a common ratio between gold and silver for the purpose of establish ing internationally the use of bimetal lic money, and securing fixity of rela tive value between those metals ; such conference to be held at such place in Europe, or in the United States, at such time within six months, as may be mutually agreed upon by the ex ecutives of the governments joining in the same, whenever the governments so invited or any three of them shall have .-signified their willingness to unite in .the same. The President shall, by and with the advice and consent of the .Senate, appoint three commissioners, who shall attend such conferences on behalf of the United States, and shall report the doings thereof to the Presi dent, who 6hall tranemit the Bame to Congress. Said Comnmsioners shall ach receive the sum of $2,500 and 8 heir reasonable expenses, to be ap pioved by (he Secretary of State ; and '-he amount necessary to pay such com peneation and expenses is hereby ap propriated tut of any -money in the 'ireasury not otherwise appropriated. Section 4. That any holder of the coin authorized by this act may !e posit tho same with the Treasurer or any Aisistant Treasurer of the United States, in sums not less than ten dol lars, and receive therefor certificates of not leaa than ten dollars each cor responding with the denominations of United States note9. The coin depos ed for or representing the certificates ';all be retained in the Treasury for . ayrjieut of the same on demand, and : aid certificates shall be receivable for customs, taxes and all public dues, and when so received may be reissued. It was started to show what a country weekly should be, and it died. . We don't propose to print that kind of a paper. Warren Ledger. A bill introduced into the Legis lature lately, extends the jurisdiction of Justice of the Peace to $300, and declares that the Justice of the Peace shall have concurrent jurisdiction with the Courts of Common Pleas in actions arising from contracts cither expressed or implied, and of all actions of tres pass and trover and conversion where in the sum demanded exceeds one hun dred dollars and docs not exceed three hundred.
