Deacon Smith's wagon stopped one
morning before Widow Jones' door,
and he gate the usual country lien
that he wanted something in the
house by dropping the reins and sit
ting double with his elbows on his

the late Mr. Jones bought her." Here
he sighed at the illusion te the late

interesting moment.
