less extravagant than the preceding
Kepublican House. It savs the amount
paid for salaries of ollicers, stationery
and contingent fund amounted to

act which made the saving of over
$22,000 possible. The Democracy

on the 5th inst., resulting in the death
of several old and inofleasivt negroes.

stated that the negroes started the riot,
and held the white murderers blamo-
