A pass enger train was going over a trestle, which gave way, and providentially only three persons were hurt, none of them severely. The Derrick is glory ing ia the ill fortune or mismanage ment of the road. One of the head ings of tho account of the accident is "Tho Road that can't bear Criticism nor Passenger Trains." It also calls that road "Death's Favorite Route." Reason, Phillips took up passes and had a drawback on courtesies hereto fore extended to tho Derrick. We don't know whether Bishop's criticisms were always correct, but we do know tlmt there are altogether too many accidents on that road. Tho Titusville Herald says that tho bell of St. Paul's is at last hung iu its final homo in the steeple of the church. It was raised U position yes terday afternoon and set by Mf. Zittcl, the contractor of the church with the aid of David Foster's capstan and pul leys. The bell bears on ono side the inscription: "Vivos: Voco, Moriuot pldnno,fvlgurafrango, Concordia. This bell was cast from a caunon named Le Muuvais. Presented by the Emperor William First, to the St. Paul's Re formed Church, Titusville, Penn., A D. 1873." On the opposite sido is Mencely AKimberiy, founders, Troy, N. Y." After the bell was hung it was rung to get the effect and test the machinery. The sound is unusually rich aud clear. It will not be rung again until after the dedication of the church, which takes place on the 17th of this month. oi mis moiun.
