bly of the Commonwealth 01 Pennsylva
nia, passed the IHlh day of March, 1K15,
entitled an Act to amend an Act directing
tho mode of selling Unseated Iandn for
Taxes Ac., and the several subsequent
Act supplementary thereto. The follow
ing tracts of unseated lauds, and in and
out lot in the County of Forest, or so
much thereof as will pay tho arrearage of

Mr. Strong, last season, made sever
al hundred ascension, some of which
were fraught with narrow escnpes. Ir
the ascension which Mr. Strong made
from Shellbiar, Mo., he met with ov
peculiar adventure. All was ready
for the perial trip, and just as he was
about to step into the basket, some of
the ropes let go, tripping him up, and
he hung by his legs, tangled in the
cords. For a moment the balloon
swayed to nnd fro, nnd Mr. Strong
grasped at the first 'ibject that came
within reach, and that was a lady.

ly taken up fainted and hung n dead
weight in his arms, but Mr. Strong

The hundreds of young men who eke
out a miserable existence in this City
under the fond delusion that they wilt
some day become bankers, merchants,
and brokers of large means, could
have seen the folly of their dreams if
they had been present at a social gath

One of our vicinity deacons nearly
captured five boys who had been de
vastating his chestnut trees, Sunday
afternoon. Shaking his fist after their
