one of the best and most ptaetinil educa
tional talks ever delivered lit fore any I'j
eal institute iu the w l iter's knowledge.
The institute was preceded on Friday
evening by.a school entertainment, w hic'u
ismsisted of dialogues recitations songs,
Ac, and was a credit to the teachers, the
pupils and the citizens of the town. We
must not forget the Ik.vs and girls of the
advanced room, who furnishi-d such
splendid m usie for the institute on Satur
day. 'n Saturday night Br. Brumluiugh de
livered his lecture, "TheTecheCour.try,"
to a large and appreciative audience.
This was truly a grand treat for our
;wi.d and the only fault found, though
it lasted nearly two hours, was that the
Br. did m.t talk longer. Anyone who has
an opportunity to hear this grand lecture
and does not cmbra'-e it misses a treat not
often afforded any people.
