She has lecn for several years a stu dent at the Art institute, iChicago, and is a mcmlH-r of the 1 alette club. She is not only a close student, but, as this her most ambitions work shows, pos sesses that power of insight which coupled with the creating faculty marks the true artist. The statue of Miss Miner is one of the best things f.o far produced for any of the state build ings. The present lignre is belter than the one ruined by freezing and shows that the artist is growing in ex pression and strenpth.
