Mrs. John Sta?'. has gone to Philadelphia
for the third time to be treated for malig
nant cancer. She returned to ber home on
both former occasions pronounced perma

Weather Prophet, Fred Holder, who has
proven to be more accurate in bis prog
nostications than Vemer, Hicks or Gree
ley, tarns out to be quite as successful as

he insisted that the fruit crop would be
a short one this season, especially apples
aad pears. He preiheted that they would
drop prematurely, and, verily, so they have
done. Now he is urging the farmers to
