While we don't claim lo know from what
place the provisions and aid l!wt were first
to reach Johnstown came, we do know that
the above statement is not comet. Tbe first
train for Jobnttowu after the flood passed
through Sommet al o'clock on Sunday
morning, .Tune 2nd. On this wai a commit
tee from Somerset in chifje of Urge iup
piy of provisions which bad been collected
tbe evening before. Now we are positive
that the train on which the Cumberlanders
were did nol arrive al Somerset nntil after
nine o'clock on Sunday evening, so that the
Sunieiset Committee were on tbe ground at
least fifteen hours before the Cumberland
Committee, and bad in fart already return
ed from Johnstown.

blown oil and the hot beer throw n all over
