at the term of Court held in this place last
week, to which we direct the attention of
the township and borough authiirities
throughout the county. The facts in the
case, as near as we couid learn tliem. are
as follows : Stewart & Sons, ol Iiever
Falls, are engaged in the notion business,
and have several salesmen, w ith wagons,
traveling through the country. Some
time l'o one of These wagons, while de
scending a hill in PuUski township, owing
to the bad condition of the road, ujiset,
and injured both the vehicle and contents
to a considerable extent. Suil was brought
airainst the township, and after hearinz
the evidence the jury awarded the plaintiff
damages it the sum ot three hundred and
