This figure is considered indicative of the
rapid revival of business throughout the
country,
The lobins that were swindled into
makiag their appearance on Sunday last

turely, and must necessarily take their de

or two longer, the atmosphere may again
moderate very much. There is no telling,

entered as well upon bond and warrant of
any attorney as upon mortgages to secure
the same and to any subsequent grantee or
owner ol the premises so bound, as well as
lo the obligor or uiortgagar. And provid
ed. That nothing in this act contained
shall be construed to stay any execution
that miv be issued alter the expiration ol
sixty days Irom the assage of ibis act for
the pur-xisc ot collecting interest uue, or
to become due uiou any judgment lor any
sum not less than five hundred dollars here
tolorc obtained, but no such execution
shall be issued for less than six month's
arrearages of interest. I'rorided, That
this act shall not apply so as to stay the col
lection ot interest on judgments entcreu
for security lor the payment of money
to w idow, orphans, or minors. And pro
vided further. That this act shall not
apply to any judgment obtained for the
a ages ot labor or to ctetiis contracted auer
the passage of this act, but shall apply to
all coriKiralions whether defendants or
holders af collaterals.
Sec. 2. That in all cases in which a de
fendant shall be entitled to a stay of exe
cution under the provisions of this act and
shall neglect or refuse to claim the benefit
thereof, any mortgage ot uie premises

There seems to be a wide spread misun
derstanding relative tothe time when town
ship, borough and school district accounts
must be published in order to fill the re
quirements of the law. We have, our
selves, contributed no little in misleading
the public on these points, simply from
the fact, lhat wc were, until last week,
wholly ignorant of the passage of a law
lal winter, amending the act ot 18i4
touching the publication of the aliove ac
counts. The act of 1874 provided :
