ORDINANCE No. 11. ;
At a special meeting of the Town Council and Burgess
of the Borough of East Stroudsburg. held this 7th day
of October, A.D. 1874:
It was ordained and enacted' that the Stroudsburs
Passenger Railway Company be and herebv is directed
to change the track of said Railwav to the middle of
Washington street in said Borough of East Strouds
burg, from the Eastern end of the Earstern wing walls
of the Iron Bridge over Brodhead's Creek, to the point
of Intersection of said Washington street with Cortland
street, near the store of Thomas Stemples, and that the
track of said Railway be made so as to conform to the
grade of said Washington street. That if said Railway
track is not removed as above ordained, in thirty days
Irom the date of notice of this Ordiuance, then the same
w-ill be removed by the said Borough of East Strouds
burg at the expese of said Stroudsburg Passenger Rail
way Company, with twenty per cent, added thereto ac
cording to law.
