at Ins office, and Cassidy, on inquiry, was
found to have been a prisoner in Ludlow
Street Jail for several days on another
charge. The three men were brought to

ternoon, searched, and consigned to the
cells to be arraigned at the Tombs' Police
Court.

An exchange gives the following "case
of conscience: Messrs. Frank, Bro. &
Co., merchants 3d street, Philadelphia,
had a pleasant surprise. Thirtv-three
years ago they kept store in New Berlin,
Lnion county, and before movW th
city they were robbed of goods to the
amount of $400. Last week a man p.nmi-
into their store, and ascertaining that tW
were the same gentlemen that kert storo
m New Berlin informed them that hn wns
ready to pay the $400 they missed in the
robbery, together with the interest npon
the same, which would amount to 800.
Mr. Frank was astonished at the man's
frankness, but told him if he would give
m the 3400 without interest, thev would
call it square, which he paid over and de
parted, leaving the proprietors to ruminate
upon the singular phases of humanity.

sylvania: And now. May 29th, 1873, this being the
first term of the Court held in Monroe county
after the passage of the Act of Assembly "de
signating the. Judicial Districts of the Common
wealth, &c, &.;" it is now ordered and direc
ted that the time of holding the regular terms
of the several courts in and for said county,
shall be the

of FEBRUARY, MAY", SEPTEMBER, and
DECEMBER, in each year to continue one
week, if necessary, subject to be enlarged,
modified or changed as now provided bv law.
