It is a bird that passes the whole day in catching flies, remaining in the store during the night and refusing all bird seed and other il-od. The bird is the size of a canary, its color on the back is like that of a whip poorwill, the breast of a light grayish hue, while the bill resembles that oi' a hum ming bird, though not so long, and alto gether is a pretty and well proportioned specimen of the feathered tribe. Be it enacted and ordained by the Burgess and Town Council of the Borough of East Stroudshnrg: That all the property holders on the north side of Washington street from the corner of Crystal and Washington streets to the intersection of Courtland street, shall curb and pave the side walk along their respective prop erties, either with brick or stone by October 1, 1874. The width of the sidewalk shall be (5 feet. ORDINANCE No. 10. Be it ordained and enacted by the Burgess and Town Council of the Borough of East Stroudsbtirg : That all the property owners on the west side of Washington street, from the corner of Courtland and Washington sts. to the Iron Bridge, shall lava side walk of stone, brick or plank; in case of plank, the sameshall be not less than 2 inches thick and 14 inches wide, placed side by side with space of 14 inches between.
