The Committees on the various kinds of Horses, Mules, Cattle, Sheep, and Swine, are requested to e particular in ascertaining the blood of the diflcrent animals. In the class of Thorough Breds, particularly, they should require satisfactory evidence as regards the pedigree, age and character of all stock en tered for premiums. 2. The Committee on -lgricuItural Imple ments are instructed to keep in view the use fulness of the implements to the Farmer, ra ther than tha workmanship thereof. .. The Committee on Non-Enumerated -lrtieles, will award such premiums as thev may think proier, on all articles of merit which have not been provided for in the gene ral schedule. 4. The various Committees are requested to be careful to NOTICE all articles exhibited in their respective Classes, whether entitled to premiums or not. I f they award a distinct premium on any article, they will not take the same article in consideration in a general display. , 0. The members of the various Committees will come together at the Secretary's OtKcc on Thursday, the 19th of September, "at 2 o'clock r. M. precisely, in order to proceed to business. And it will prevent much confusion if they will prepare themselves, before leaving home, with a list of the different articles and the premium! offered under the heads for which they are re spectively appointed. 7. , The Chairman of the different Commit tees are instructed to make their reports to the Bevising Committee or Secretary, as soon as possible, in order that the full rcqort may I? ready by the time it will be publicly read. The report must lie in at 10 o'clock on the morning of Friday, September 20th. 8. The various Committees are requested to mark with an X, each article as it is examined so that the same article may not receive more than one premium. 9. No jerson can act as a meniWrofan A warding Committee on an article or animal in which he or she has any interest; but must withdraw while such article or animal is being examined. 10J Where there is no competition, the wilhholdiii" of the premiums shall be at the discretion of the Judges; and in no such in stances slmll thev make an award unless the ar ticle be of superior merit, usefulness or inge nuity. CJ. Persons exhibiting articles which thev desire to have sold, will be furnished with card announcing the fact that such article is for sale. 4. No animals or articles entered for exhi bition can be taken away before the close of the Fair except by permission of the President, and no premium will lie paid on animals or articles removed in violation of this rule. o. All articles or animals offered for com petition must have been owned by the competi tor at least thirty days before the Fair; and all fruits, vegetables, aud grain innst be the growth of the competitor. b. Any article or animal which receives a distinct premium, cannot compete in a general display, nor shall any one article receive more than one premium. 7. For all stock exhibited, hay, straw and water will be furnished without "charge ; oats and corn will be supplied at market prices. 8. Any person entering horses, cattle, sheep or swine, for exhibition, without first consult ing the Awarding committee (whose name will be furnished on application to the. Secretary on the first day of the Fair) in regard to bhod, will do it at his own risk ; and if said animals are not entered in the proper class, they will not be recognized hv the committee on mh h das, of which the Awarding Committee shall be the proper judges. ). All articles exhibited, whether eatables or not, must be respected as private property ; and any person detected purloining or injuring them will be. dealt with according to law. . 10. .111 moneys awarded as premiums shall revert to tho Society unless called for within 1)0 days. 11.
