Proposing an amendment to the Constitution
of Pennsylvania.
Be it Resolved by the Senate and llmisc of
Jceprcscntaticcs of the, Common teeath of

That the following amendment of the Con
stitution of this Commonwealth be projwised
to the people for their adopotion or rejection,
pursuant to the provisions of the tenth arti
cle thereof, to wit :

Strike out the Sixth Section of the Sixth
Article of the Constitution, und innert in lieu
thereof the following :
"A State Treasurer shall be chosen bvthe
qualified electors of the State, at such times
