Resolved, That a Street Committee be
appointed, whoae duty it .shall be to order,
regulate and provide for the repair of the
streets, alleys, sidewalks, and crossings of
the borousrh, regulate the grade of the same,
and see that ro buildings, hereafier to be
erected, encroach upon, said streets, alleys,
sidewalks, &c.

said Committee is hereby empowered to em
ploy a competent engineer to assist them in
the performance of said duties.
