During late years the public have been misled
by largc bottle, pretending to give a quart of
Extract of Sarsaparilla for one dollar. Most of
these have been frauds upon the sick, for they
not only contain little, if any, Sarsaparilla, but
often no curative properties whatever. Hence,
bitter and painful disappointment has followed
the use of the various extracts of Sarsaparilla
which flood the market, until the name iuelf is
justly despised, and has become synonymous
with imposition and cheat. Still we call tiiis
compound Sarsaparilla, and intend to supply
such a remedy as shall rescue the name from tho
load of obloquy which rests upon it. And we
think we have" ground for believing it has vir
tues which are irresistible by the ordinary run cf
the diseases it is intended to cure. In order to
secure their complete eradication from tho sys
tem, the remedy should be judiciously takea ac
cording to directions on the bottle.
