Keep the blood healthy, .and all is well; but
with this pabulum of life disordered, there can
be no lasting health. Sooner or later something
must go wrong, and the great machinery of life
is disordered or overthrown.
Sarsnparilhi lias, and deserves much, the repu
tation of accomplishing thee ends. But the
world has been egregiously deceived by prepara
tions cf it, partly ljccause the drug alone lias not
all the virtuo that is claimed for it. hut more be
cause many preparations, pretending to bo con
centrated extracts of it, contain but little of the
virtue of.Snrssparitta, or any tiling else.
During late years the public have been misled
by large kittle?, pretending to give a quart of
Extract of Sarsnparilhi for one (foliar. Most of
the?e have been frauds upon the sick, for they
not only contain linle, if any, Sarsaparilla, bat
often no curative properties whatever. Iier.cc,
bitter and painful disappointment has followed
the use of the various extracts of Sarsapariila
which flood the market, until the name itse'f is
justly despised, and has become synonymous
with imposition and cheat. Still we call tiiis
compound Sarsapariila, and intend to supp'y
such a remedy as shall rescue the name from the
load of obloquy which reet? upon it. And we
think we have gronnd for believing it has vir
tues which are irresistible by the ordinary nu: of
the diseases it is intended to cure. In orcter to
secure their complc'o eradication from the sys
tem, the remedy should be judiciously taken ac
cording to directions on the Lottie.
