Reliable Testimony.
We call the attention oj tlie reader to thefottoiring
letter from President Smith, of Wesley an University:
MiddlETOWN, Conn., Feb. 23, 1853.'
. Seth W. Fowle Jt Co. Gentlemen: I first
mado si?e of the Oxycenatod Hitters some seven or
eight years since Having sulToretl for twenty years
fpun a form of dyspepsia, which was attended with a
iierwws lifsdahc, on an average of not less than one
day in a weefc, I was 'induced, by tho unpretending rec
ommendation of Dr. Greon, " to try one bottle, and if
no benefit was received to discontinue the use."
Tho use of one bottle warranted a further trial, to the
extent of some three or four, with a careful observance
of the accompanying directions. Tho result was, an
almost entire relief from tlto usual dyspeptic symptoms
ahtl their depressing, painful consequences. I believe
those Dinars produced an entire change in the habits of
my pyteni, and upon the active onergies of the digestivo
orgems. I now deem myself as exempt from Dyspepsia
as swot persons. These Hitters have also been of ser
vice to other inombors of my family.
Very respectfully yours,
AUGUSTUS VT. SMITH.

result of the experience of the most eminent
phyf.icians in Europe and America is thor

City of Philadelpia alone.
Testimony of the Professor of Obsletrics in
Pcnn. Gollege, Phila da.
"Dr. Hunter's Medical Manuel." The
author of this work, unlike the majority ol
those who advertise to cure the diseases of
which it treats., is a graduate of one of the
best Colleges in the United States. It affords
me pleasure to recommend him to the unfor
tunate, or to the victim of malpractice, as a
successful and experienced practitioner, in
whose honor and integrity they may place
the greatest confidence.
JOSEPH S. LONGSHORE, M. D.
From A. Woodward, M. D. of Penn. Uni
versity, Vhilada.
It gives me pleasure to add my testimony
to the professional ability of the author of the
"Medical Manuel." Numerous cases of Dis
eases of the Genital Organs", some of them o
long standing, have come under my notice
in which his skill has been manifest in restor
ing to perfect health, in some instances where
the patient has boen beyond medical aid. in
the treatment of Seminal weakness or disar
rangements of the functious produced by self
abase or excess of venery, I do not know his
superior in the protession. I have been ac
nuainted with the Author some thirty years,
and deem it no more than justice to him as
welras a kindness to the unfortunate victim
of early indiscretion, to recommend him as
one in whose professional skill and integrity
they may safely confide themselves.

his office next door to Dr. S
Walton, and nearly opposite S. Rees's Hat&
Cap store, where he is fully prepared to treat
the natural teeth, and also to insert incorrupt
ible artificial teeth on pivot and plate, in the
latest and most improved manner. Most per
sons know the danger and folly of trusting
their work to the ignorant as well as the
traveling dentist. It matters no: how much
experience a person may have, he is liable to
have some failures out of a number of cases.
and if the dentist lives at a distance, it is fre
quently put off until it is too late to save the
tooth or teeth as it may be, otherwise the in
oonvenience and trouble ot oin so far.-
Hence the necessity of obtaining the services
of v dentist near home. All work warranted.
