as a speciality, he has become possessed
of most invaluable information in regard to
the same, andJs able to compress into vade
mecurn compas the very quintessence of med
ical science on this important subject; as the
result of the experience of the most eminent
physicians in Europe and America is thor
oughly demonstrated in his own highly suc
cessful practice in the treatment of secret
diseases in many thousands of cases in the
City of Philadolpia alone.
Testimony of the Professor of Obslctrics in
Penri. College, Philatla.
"Dr. Hunter's. Medical Manuel."Thc
author of this work, unlike the majority of
those who advertise to cure the diseases of
which it treats, is a graduate ot one of .the
best Colleges in, the United States. It aflortls
me pleasure to recommend him to the unfor
tunate, or to the victim of malpractice, as a
successful and experienced practitioner, in
whose honor and integrity they may place
the greatest confidence.
JOSEPH S. LONGSHORE, M. D.
From A. Woodward, M. D. of I'cnn. Uni
versity, Philada.
It srivos me pleasure to add my testimony
to the professional ability of the author of the
"Medical Manuel." Numerous cases of Dis
eases of the Genital Organs, some of them ol
long standing, have come under my notice
in which his skill has been manifest in restor
ing to perfect health, in some instances where
the patient has been beyond medical aid. Jn
the treatment of Seminul weakness or disar
rangements of the functions produced by self
abuse or excess of venery, I do not know his
superior in the prolession. I have been ac
ouainled with the Author some thirty years,
and deem it no more than justice to him as
well as a kindness to the unfortunate victim
ot earlv indiscretion, to recommend him as
one in whose professional skill and integrity
they may safely confide themselves.

SILVER'S PLASTIC PAINTS:.
CHEAP, DURABLE AND PROTECTIVE,
Weather ;ta? Firc-Eroff.
These paints will stand any climate, with
out crack or blister and harden by exposure,
thus makinjr in time an enamel of stone,
protecting Wood from decay, and Iron and
other metals from rust and corosion. They
differ, essentially, from the so-called .mineral
paints of the day which are, principally, O
chres and Clays, and are entirely worthless.
Silver's Plastic Puints are Purely ME
TALIC, containing no Alumin or Clay.
They are levigated finely, mix readily with
Linseed Oil, (withoqt the trouble of grind
ing,) and flow under the brush as thrT hni
White Lead, and excel nil others in body or
covering properties, one pound ol which will
cover as much surface, as two pounds of
White Lead, reducing the cost two-thirds.
There are six distinct polors, viz:
Olive, j Light Brown I Light Chocolate,
Uluck, j Dark do. Deep do.
All equally valuable as a preservative
Paint and particularly adapted to painting
The outside of Buildings, Fences, Steam
boats, Cars, Tin and Iron work.
(rREMEMBER! Exposure Hardens
and increases the Durability of these Paints.
DIRECTIONS Mix with pure Linseed
oil, as thickly as possible, as the Paint is the
lasting protecting body, and the oil simply the
medium or agent in spreading it.
