Creeson and Syracuse. a Riindrv timos witbin the last six V J -wonks tho proceedings of the Democracy at Cresson yesterday would bavo been of vastly moro consequence than at present. Uven after the disastrous disruptions of their National Convention at (JharleMou and at Baltimore, a thoroughly united Democratic party in Pennsylvania might have been confronted to tbe I pposition and would have put tho latter upon their mettle to achieve a victory lor JLIN'coln. But the leaders, by their bickerings, and their blundering management and blind obedience to the Administration, that had already so badly damaged their party, allowed tho golden opportunity to pass. As the onse stauds now, tho more saga cious adherents of the Democratic party freely admit that it is but of slight prac tical importance to the contest yi Novcm her, whether their party presents a divi ded or united front to their adversaries. If a combination is formed that will, in any contingency, enure to the advantage of Breckinridge, thousands of the DOUGLAS men will stay at home on elec tion day, or else vote for LINCOLN. If, on, the other hand, such a compromi-c i effected as admito the regularity of DOUG LAS, and looks to his exclusive benefit, then thousands of the Breckinridge Derooorota will sullenly refuse to vote. If a divided front is shown, of course de feat i inevitable. Either way makes LINCOLN'S -"election sure" in Pennsylva nia. These views will explain our ineou ing, when wc declare that, however im portant the result of the Democratic State Committee's deliberations, at Cresson, might have been at one tirae, they are quite of secondary consequence now. Practically, the Pre.-iJential question was tcttled at Syracuse on Wednesday last New York was the only Stati where the Opposition to Lincoln had a shadow of a chance to concentrate in n way to ensure his defeat." That chance was thrown away, when the delegates to tho Breckinridge Convention placed their distinct Electoral ticket in the field. If they adhere to their resolutions, and the character of the men who controlled it, and tbe spirit which pervaded the proceeding-, indicate that they will, nothing remains but to go through the mere form? of an election in November; for no future event can be more certain, under proeni circuTcytancc, than that LINCOLN will be the nest President of the United States. Pen my I van ia Inquirer. The Democratic Record. The1 Democratic party goe into the present Presidential canvass with the re sponsibility of the following acts of the last session of Congress upon its should rs: Defeat of the admission of Rnusa?; Defeat of a just Homestead Bill; Defeat of a Protective Tariff", Defeat of the Bill prohibiting Polyga my; Defcot of the Bill annulling the slave code of New Mexico; Passage of Jeff. Davis's slavery pro tection resolutions: Threats of disunion fr.om nearly every Democratic member of Conres-s, in ease a Republican President should be elected next falK What support does a party deserve from the citizens of Pennsylvania which has identified itself with such measures sod sentimcnt-il The great wonder ir how they manage to keep up even a show of organization in tho face of such blast ing proofs of unfaithfulness to tbe State And the whole nation. Read the following: Oak Grove, S. C. June 24th, 1859. To Prof. O. J. Wood: Dear Sir: Your Hair Restorative is rapidly gaining popularity in this community. I have had occasion to lay prejudice aside, and give your Hair Re storative a perfect test: During the year lb54, 1 was so unfortuate as to be thrown from my-sulky against a rock near the roadside, from which my head received a most terrible blow; causing a great deal of irritation, which communicated to the brain and external surface of the head, from the effects of which my hair was finally de stroyed over the entire surface of the head. From the time I first discovered its dropping, howover, up to the time of its total disappear ance, I employed everything I could think of, befng a professional man myself, and, as I thought; understanding the nature of the disease, but was finally defeated in every pre-' scription advanced. j These and no other circumstances induced me to resort to your worthy Hair Restorative, which I have every reason to believe, pro duced a very happy result: two mouths after the first application, 1 had as beautiful a head of young hair as I ever saw, for which I cer tainly owe you my most sincere thanks. Rest ussurod, dear sir, I shall use my influ ence, which-1 flatter myself to say, is not a liltle. You can publish this if you think proper. Yours, verv respectfully, M. J. WRIGHT, M. D. Office of the Jefferson ian, Philippi, Va., Dec. 12, 1853. Dear Sir: I feel it my duty as well as my pleasure, to state to jou the following cir cumstance, which you can use as you think proper. A gentleman of this place, (a law yer,) has been bald ever since his early youth; so much so, that he was compelled to wear a wig. He was induced to use a bottle of your "Hair Restorative," which he liked very much; and after using some Uvo or three bottles his hair grew out quite lux uriantly, and he now has a handsome head of hair. The gentleman's name is Bradford, and as he is very well known in our adjoin ing counties, many persons can testify to the truth of this statement; I give it to 'ou at the request of Mr, Bradford. You can sell a great deal of your Hair Restorative in this and the adjoining counties if you have the proper agents. Yours, &c. THOMPSON SURGIINOR. Dr. Wood: Dear Sir: Permit ;ne to express the obligations I am under for the entire re storation of my hair to its original color; about the time of rny arrival in the United States it was rapidly becoming gray, but upon the application of your "Hair Restora tive'' it soon recovered its original hue. I consider your Restorative as a very wonder ful invention, quite efficacious as well as a greeablc. S. THALBERG. The Restorative is put ud in bottles of three sizes, viz: large, medium, and small; the small holds i- a pint, and retails for one ollar per bottle; ibe medium holds at least twfintv ner cent, more in nrnnorf inn thr.n ihn small," retails for two dollars per bottle; the large lioius a quart, 4U per cent, more m pro- portion, and retails for S3.
