For Statesmen, Judges, Clergymen, Ladies

unanimous in its praise. A few testimonials

47 Wall street, New York, Dec. 20, 1858.
Gentlemen : Your note of the 15i.fi liistunt
has been received, saying thai you had heard
that I had been benefitted bv the use of
Wood's Hair Restorative, and requcstinjr my
certificate uf the fact if i had no objection to
giye it.
I award it to you cheerfully, because I
think it is due. My age is about 50 years;
the color of my. hair auburn, and inclined to
curl, borne five or six vears since it beizan
to turn gray, and the scalp on the crown ol
my .head to lose its sensibility and dnndrufi
to torm upon it. .bach ot the?e disagrccabu-
ities increased with time, and alout four
months since a fourth was added to them, by
hair falling ofl the top of my head utid threat
ening to make me bu Id.
In this unpleasant predicament, I was in
duced'to try Wood's Hair Restorative, main
y to arrest the falling oft of my hair, for I
:iad really no expectation that gray hair could
ever be restored in .its original color except.
rom dyes. 1 was, however, greatly surpris
ed to find after tho use of two botiles only,
that. not only was the falling off arrested, but
the color was restored to the grav hairs and
sensibility to the scalp, ,aud dandruff ceased
to form on my head, very much to the grati
fication of my wife, at whose solicitation I
was induced to try it.
For this, among the many obligations I
owe to her sex, I strongly recommend all hus
bands who value the admiration of their
wives to profit by my example, and use it it
growing gray or getting bald. Very re
spectfully, BEN. A. LAVENDER.
To O. J. Wood & Co., 444 Broadway, N. Y.
Simaston, Ala., July 20, 189.
To Prof. O. J. Wood: Dear Sir: Your
"Hair Restorative" has done my hair so much
good since I commenced the use of it, that I
wish to make known to the pudeic of its ef
fects on the hair, which are great. A man
or woman may he nearly deprived of hair,
and by a resort to your " Hair Restorative,'
the hair will return more beautiful than ever
at least this is my experience. Believe it all
Yours truly. WM. H. KENEDY.
P. S. You can publish the above if you
like. By publishing in our Southern papers
vou will set mere patronage south. J see

VT& call the attention oj the render to the following ?
letter from President Smith, of Wesley an University: !
MlDDLETOWX, Conn., Feb. 23, 1859. .
Sutii W Pnwr.T .1- Cr finritlrnipii ; I firsts
ifmridn usn of t!m OxvfMiatml Hitlers EOmo Beven Of
eight years since. Having suffered for twenty years
from a form of dyspepsia, which was attended with a
nervous heada-he, on an average" of not less than o'ne
day in a week, I was induced, hy tho unpretending rec
ommendation of Dr. Green, "to try ono bottle, and if
no benefit was received to discontinue tho use."
Tho use of ono bottle warranted a further trial, to tho
extent of pome three or four, with a careful observance
of tho accompanying directions. Tho result was, an
almost entire relief from tho usual dyspeptic symptom
and their depressing, painful consequences. I believo'
these Uitters produced an entire change in tho habits of
my system, and upon tho active cnorgios of tho digestive
organs. I now deem myself as eiompt from Dyspepsia.,
as most persons. These Bitters have also been of ser
vico to other members of my family.
Arery respectfully yours,
AUGUSTUS IV. SMITH.

Gents : I was, formany yoarc, a groat sufferer from
Dyspepsia or Waterbrasli, ami tried almost everything
within my roach, but to no benefit, until I was induced
by tho recommendation of my physician, Dr. Hazclton,
to mako use of the Oxygenated Hitters. The first bottle
produced but a slight alteration in tho di-ease, and had ,
ii not been f'r the urgent request of my physician, I
flisufld then have discontinued their use, thinking them
to bo of no avail ; bat his confidence inspired mo to per
severe, and after using to tho extontot half a dozen bot
tles, I had entirely regained rhy health. I hope all
Dyspeptic persons will bo induced to givo thern a fair
trial, being confident that the routed is the most potent,
for tho various forui3 of Dyspepsia, that ha3 been pro
duced. Yours, -, .
