Universal Confidence & Patronage.
For Statesmen, Judges, Clergymen, Ladies

Restorative, and gentlemen of the Press are
unanimous in its praise. A few testimonials

47 Wall street, New York, Dec. 20, 1858.
Gentlemen : Your note of the 15th instant
has been received, saying that you had heard
that I had been benefitted by the uee of
Wood s Hair Restorative, and requesting my
certificate of the fact if t had no objection to
give it.
I award it to you cheerfully, because I
think it is due. My age is about 50 years;
the color of my hair auburn, and inclined to
curl. Somo five or six years since it began
to turn gray, and the scalp on the crown of
my head to lose its sensibility and dandruff
to form upon it. Each of these dlsagreeabil-
lties increased with tune, and about four
months since a fourth was added to them, by
lair falling oft the topot my head and threat
ening to make me bald.
In this unpleasant predicament, I was in
duced to try Wood's Hair Restorative, main-
y to arrest the falling oft of my hair, for I
md really no expectation that gray hair could
ever be restored in its original color except
rom dyes. 1 was, however, greatly surpris
ed to find after the use of two bottles only,
that not only was the falling off arrested, but
the color was restored to the gray hairs and
sensibility to the scalp, and dandruff ceased
to form on my head, very much to the grati
fication of my wife, at whose solicitation I
wns induced to try it.
For this, among the many obligations I
owe to her sex, I strongly recommend all hus
bands who value the admiration of their
wives to profit by my example, and use it if
growing gray or getting bald. Very re
spectfully, SEN. A. LAVENDER.

Reliable Testimony.
UTi call the attention oj die reader to the following
letter from. President Smith, of Wesleyan University:
MlDDLETOVX, Conn., Feb. 23, 1859.
Setii W. Fowle & Co. Gentlemen : I first
mado uso of tho Oxygenated Litters somo seven or
eight years since. Having suffered for twenty year
from a'fonn of dyspepsia, which waa attended with a
ncrvoiw headache, on an average of not less than ono
day in a week, I was induced, by tho unpretending rec
ommendation of Dr. Green, " to try one bottle, and if
no benefit was received to discontinue the uso."
Tho u.o of one bottle warranted a further trial, to tho
extent of somo three or four, with a careful observance
of tho accompanying directions. Tho result was, an
almost entire relief from tho usual dyspeptic symptoms
and their depressing, painful consequences. I bolievo
these Bitters produced an entire change in tho habits of
my system, and upon tho active energies of the digestfvo
organs. I now deem myself as exempt from Dyspepsia
as most persons. Thcso Bitters havo also been of ter
vico to other members of my family.
Very respectfully yours,
AUGUSTUS W. SMITH.

STODDARD, N. II., Sept. 30, 1S59.'
Messrs. Seth VT. FOWLE & Co.,
Gents : I was, for many years, a great sufferer from
Dyspepsia or 'VVaterbrash, and tried almost everything
within my reach, but to no benefit, until I was induced
by tho recommendation of my physician, Dr. Hazolton,
to make uso of the Oxygenated Bitters. The hrst bottle
produced but a slight alteration in the disease, and had
it not been for the urgent request of my physician, I

to bo of no avail : but his confidence inspired me to per

tles, I had entirely regained my health. I hope all
Dyspeptic jiersons will be induced to givo them a "fair
trial, being confident that the remedy is the most potent,
for tho various forms of Dyspepsia, that has been pro
