AGRICULTURAL SETTLEMENT.
To aif wanting Farms
A RARE OPPORTUNITY IN A DELIGHTFUL AND
MU.VLTIIY CLIMATE 25 MILE8 SOUHEAST OF
PHILADELPHIA, ON THE CAMDEN" AND .
ATLANTIC RAILROAD, NEW JERSEY.
An old estate consisting ol several thou
n mis of acres of productive soil has been
divided into Farms of various sizes to suil
the purchaser. A population of some FiJ
teen Hundred, from various parts of the in id
die Slates and New England hac settled
lliere the past year, improved their places.
and raised excellent crops. The price ol the
laud is at the low sum of from Slo to SO
per acre, the soil is ol the best quality foi
the production of Wheal, Clover, Corn.
Peaches, Grapes and Vegetables, h is con
sidered the best Fruit soil in the Union.
The place is perfectly secure ftom frosts
the destructive enemy of the farmer. Cnips
of grain, grass and Iruit aie now gtowinji
and can be seen. By examining the place
itself, a correct judgment can he formed ol
the productiveness of the land. The terms
are made easy to secure the rapid improve
ment of ihe land, which is only sold frc
tual improvement. The result has been,
that within the past year, some three htm
dred houses have been erecieit, two mills
one steam, fout stores, some forty vinyard;.
and "each orchards, planied, and a large
nun ber of other improvements, making it a
desirable and aciive place of business.
THE MARKET,
as the reader may perceive from its loca
tion, is the
BEST IN THE UNION.
Produce bringing double the price than
hi locations away horn the city, and more
than double the price than the West- It is
known that the earliest and best fruits and
vegetables in this latitude come from New
Jersey, and are annually exported to the ex
tent of millions
In locating here, the settler has many ad
tautagrs. He is within a few hours ride of
.the gieat cilies of New England and Middle
hsiates. he is near his old friends and asso
uiations, ho is in a settled country where ev
cry improvement of aomforl and civilization
is at hand. He can buy every arlicle he
wants at the cheapest price, and sell hi
produce for the highest. m the West this
is reversed) he has schools for his children.
divine service, and will enjov an open win
ler, and delightful climate, where levers are
utterly unknown. The result ol the change
upon those from the north, has general'!)
iheen to restore them to an excellent state ol
health.
In the way of building and improving,
lumber can be obtained at the mills at the
r;te of $10 to $15 per thousand. Bricks
from the brick yard opened in the place.
everv article can he procored in the place
goid rarpeniers are at hand; and there is no
place to the Union where huildtngs and im
provemeuts ran be made cheaper.
The reader will at once oe struck with
the advantages here presented, and ask him
self why the property has not been taken up
before. 1 ho reason is, it was never thrown
in the market; and unless these statement.
were cm red no one would be invited to ex
amine the land before purchasing. Thi
nil are expected to do. They will see Ian '
under cultivation, such is the exient of thr
settlement that they wiil no doubt, meet pei
sons from their own neighborhood; they wii
witness the improvements and can judge the
charac ter of the population 11 they come
