THE GREAT WONDER

PROFESSOR WOOD'S
Says the St. Loulp, (iMo.) Democrat: Be
low we publish a letter to Dr. Wood, of this
city, from a gentlemen in Maine, which
speaks glowingly of the superior merits of his
hair tonic. Such evidence must have its ef

If certificates are guarrantees of truth, the

from the press :
Bath Maine, Jan. 20, 1S56.
Professor O. J. Wood & Co. .-
G-entlkmen : Having my attention called

to make application of it upon my own hair,
which had become quite gray, probably one

character. Some three months since I pro
cured a bi-iile of j'our hair restorative, and
used it'. I soon found it was proving what 1
had wished. 1 used it about twice a week.
I have since procured another boi tie, of which
I have used some. 1 can now certify to the
world thai the gray or white hair has totally
disappeated, both on my bend and face, and
my hair has resumed its natural color, and I
believe more soft and glossy than.it has been
before for twenty-five years. I am now six
ty years old; my good wife at the age of fif-ty-lwohas
used it with the same effect.
The above notice I deem due lo you for
your valuable discovery. I am assured that
whoever will rightly use, as per directions,
will not have occasion lo contradict my state
ments. I am a citizen of this city and a res
ident here for the last fifteen years, and am
known to nearly evert' one and adjoing towns.
Any use you may make of the above; with
my name attached, is at your service, as I
wish to preserve the beauties of nature in
othe'rs as well as myself. I am, truly, yours,

Walton, and nearly opposite S. Rees's Hat &
Cap store, where he is fuily prepared to treat
the natural teeth, and also to insert incorrupt
ible artificial teeth on pivot and plate, in the
latest and most improved manner. Most per
sons know the danger and folly of trustiii"
their work to the ignorant as well as the
traveling dentist. Ii matters not how much
experience a person may have, he is liable to
have some failures out of a number of cases,
and if the dentist lives at a distance, it is fre
quently put off until it is too late to saveTthef
tooth or teeth as it may be, otherwise the m-
convenience and troubleof going so far.
Hence the necessity of obtaining theservices
of b dentist near home. All work warranted.
