    Powder Explosion Near Easton.
John Berry and bis son William, were
Tery badly injured by tbe explosion of
two kegs ot powder, near Easton, on Fn
day. Tboy were blasting, when by mere
lccident Are was communicated to two
kegs of gunpowder, which exploded. This
family has been very unfortunate of late.
A short time ago the father. John Berry,
fell down a precipice of fifty feet, while at
work in a quarry, and his son-in-law was
killed at tbe terrible affair at Oxford Fur
usee some months ago.

TAKE NOTICE that at a Court of Quar
terSeesions held at Stroudsburg, April
3d, 1858, a petition was presented asking for
a division of Hamilton township and a new
Township to be erected out of the same.
Notice is therefore hereby given that the
Commissioners unpointed by the said Court,
according to the prayer of said Petition will
meet at the Public House of John Knecht, m
Fennersvillc, on Friday, the 14th day of JNIo y
next, at 10 o'clock A. M., and from thence
will proceed to run the lines and perform the
duties enjoined upon them by law.

Whereas, it appears that the days-of right,
honor, and integrity are fast fading away,
and whereas, tbe unscrupulous and ignorant
are daily taking advantage of tbe profound
