    Portuguese Cattle.
The King of Portugal has recently sent
over to England a present of cattle of a
very peculiar breed, to Quoen Victoria,
consisting of a bull, two heifers, and
bull calf. 11k animals aro of the most
perfect symutry, and very diminutive,
standing scarooly forty inches high.
They are of duu color, and iu One condi
tion. The cows are very docile; but the
bull, on being driven from the station to
Prince Albert's model farm at Fromorc,
where they nre now installed, exhibited a
disposition rather the reverse of that of
his companions, by tossing an unfortunate)
"donkey about his own size, which hap
pended to come in his vaj Thene Lilli

The above is a pretty good conundrum,
bat it is not as good as the fact that the
hi ore rushes there arc upon the banks of
S. Swan & Co's legalized lotteries at Au
gusta, Ga., the more proGt accrues to the

for the nest drawing a ruah from all parts
of the Union for a chance of the profits
in the magnificent prize of 570,000. The
